CCI Google+ Community

The Google+ community is our working space for all of the participants of CCI.  Here you will be able to share and discuss ideas, responses and reactions to the weekly tasks and lecture themes.

Everyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion, head on over and introduce yourself!

We regularly use twitter for bite size contributions and retweeting of interesting relevant materials and links.

Join in the discussion using #cci16

CCI Learning

CCI explores a variety of methodological and technical ways of story telling. The learning is a mixture of lectures, seminars, short tasks and supporting skills sessions, which encourage the participant to question different approaches when responding to Community Culture & Identity. Participants are asked to respond to the weekly tasks and upload  responses to the Google+ community. These tasks will create opportunities to experiment with different visual methodology and inform and build on a visual research process. Visitors and new contributors are welcome to join the class and contribute to the feedback.

The lectures will respond to:

The Lure of the Local

Visualising the Archive

Connecting Communities

The supportive workshops will look at:

Digital Story telling

Deep looking

Photo Elicitation

The tasks respond to and expand on themes in the lectures. We will consider different methodologies to respond to issues of community culture and identity.

The student assessed submission is to create a body of work that responds to themes of Community Culture & Identity. This can be interpreted in the broadest sense. Submissions are welcomed using a wide range of ideas/themes/genres/styles using different methodological approaches. The submissions can either expand on one of the weekly tasks or respond to one of the designated maps, but must be new to the creator.
