Andrew Jackson is a successful artist who works with photography. His interests are based around identity politics, migration, memory, notions of the self and the marginalized body. He holds an MA in Documentary Photography from Newport, South Wales. In the last year he has been awarded the international development fund, that took him to Montreal to study ethnographic methods. He’s had a residency at the open eye gallery in Liverpool and he has just won the residency program at Autograph. Jackson is the co-director of ‘Some Cities CIC’ and regularly works for the Guardian.
